I hear much these days about gold dust appearing at church gatherings. It is deemed as a sign that heaven has touched earth. My thoughts are these. May gold dust never excite us more than the salvation of a single soul. For me, I seek rather the crusade field, where repentant sinners kneel in dust as earthly as can be and become children of God. Gold and silver cannot compete with the beauty of such a moment. This, for me at least, is the manifestation of His glory that I seek most wholly after. The God I know and serve would certainly wish to be identified by the setting free of captives, rather than the sprinkling of glitter. When Jesus began His earthly ministry, He identified Himself as the one prophesied about in Isaiah 61: “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” Yes indeed, these are the signs that show us our Jesus has been on the scene.
Tamryn discusses chapter five of her book, “Spirit of Fire” which deals with pressing issues such as the selling or even free distribution of so-called “anointed” water and oil. Interviews with Evangelist Daniel Kolenda and Nurden Cross of CCFm 107.5 / 96.7 are included therein.
